Terms of Service
Last updated: April 30, 2026
The short version
By using Pulse you agree to these terms. Pulse is a status-page aggregator and uptime monitor; we don't guarantee third-party services or warrant that our checks will catch every outage. Use it as a helpful signal, not a contract.
Who can use Pulse
You must be 18 or older. By signing up you confirm the email address you provide is real and yours.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure.
- One person per account.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password and email us.
What Pulse is and isn't
Pulse aggregates third-party status pages (GitHub, AWS, Stripe, etc.) and runs HTTP checks on URLs you provide. We do our best to surface incidents quickly but cannot guarantee we'll catch every issue, that the upstream status page is accurate, or that alerts will arrive in any specific timeframe. Don't rely solely on Pulse for life-safety or mission-critical decisions.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Pulse to target third-party services with abusive request volume.
- Don't reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of our system.
- Don't monitor URLs you're not authorized to access.
- Don't use Pulse for spam alert delivery or phishing.
Pricing
Pulse is currently free while in internal-tool mode. If pricing returns in the future, existing accounts will receive at least 30 days' notice before any billing changes.
Your data
Your data is yours. See the Privacy Policyfor specifics on what we collect and how it's handled. You can delete your account from Settings at any time.
Service availability
We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee any specific SLA. Planned maintenance is rare. Polling cadence (currently every 5 minutes) may shift based on infrastructure load.
Disclaimer + liability
Pulse is provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law, Pulse and its team disclaim all warranties (express, implied, statutory). Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (currently $0 while free).
Termination
You can stop using Pulse anytime. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms or attempt to abuse the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Florida, USA.
